Grief will always find you, eventually it knocks loudly upon all our doors. You can ignore the knock for a time but you need to greet it as a friend, understand it’s purpose, paying attention to and spending time with it. You can shout and scream at it, rage against it and hate it and nodding quietly it will listen. After it has cradled you in its arms It will let itself out, however it will leave the door slightly ajar, you will never be able to shut it completely and grief will whisper that’s ok.

A Pox on the Patriarchy

Lady things, explained.

"I have long argued that the giving of offence, and even hate speech, should be a moral matter but not a matter for the criminal law. That is as true on the football pitch as on the streets. We should always challenge racism. We should also always challenge attacks on liberties in the guise of faux antiracism." Kenan Malik
